Catherine Cuthbert CFP®

Spurred on by her love of solving financial puzzles and deep desire to help others, Catherine (finally) followed in her mothers’ footsteps and joined CFG as a Paraplanner in 2021. She simultaneously enrolled in Boston University’s Financial Planning Certificate Program to pursue her CFP® designation. After completing the coursework, rigorous exam, and experience hours, she was awarded the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in early 2024.

Catherine is based in Portland, Oregon, having moved from Georgia in 2013.  She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Historic Preservation that same year, and her professional background is in construction cost estimating and real estate management.  Eight years and one pandemic later, she decided to pursue a career impacting individual lives directly. Catherine’s mission is to first help clients understand their core values and aspirations, and then help them understand how their financial assets can best serve these markers.

Outside of the office Catherine can be found on hikes with her husband and daughter, hosting dinner parties for friends, or in the basement mulling over a sewing project.
